One of the most impressive military vehicles designed by the Czechs, the LT-38, found favour with the Panzertruppe upon acquisition. Construction continued until 1942. Enough LT-38 tanks were absorbed to equip two Panzer Divisions, and were re-designated Panzerkampfwagen 38t. In 1940 the Panzer 38(t)s equipped Rommel's 7th Panzer, and the 8th Panzer Divisions. Introduced in 1935 by Skoda for the Czechoslovakian army as the LTM-35, the tank was absorbed into the Panzer forces of Germany in 1938. A very technically advanced tank, and renamed the Panzerkampfwagen 35(t), it saw action in Poland, France and Russia. It had an effective Skoda A3 37mm gun, which was one of the most advanced tank guns of the period. During the invasion of France the tank made up the majority of the 6th Panzer Division, and also part of the 3rd Panzer Division. The model has optional Notek lamp and jack, and opening turret and driver hatches.
